Into The Hallway (Demo)
A downloadable horror for Windows
This game is based on a book I wrote when I was 16 and in a very dark place, so it is extremely personal to me that I put its contents into a game. Please beware that this is not for children or teens of any kind, and should be avoided by anyone under the age of 17+.
A young woman by the name of Janie Geraldine is a mental patient who cannot remember anything about her family due to a tragic incident, and said incident left her so scarred that she can only remember bits and pieces as hallucinations and horrid nightmares. She discovers that the police are after her for escaping the asylum she was kept in, which she doesn't remember doing or even being in one to begin with, and must find her way to a safe place where no one will know her.
Along the way, she must battle her own illness, for she is schizophrenic and has not come to terms with the fact that she is not able to care for herself on her own despite being 25 years old. She sees the doctor that tortures her nightmares everywhere she goes, hears his voice in her head, and must fight reality and hallucination in order to get out of this situation alive.
Your sanity bar resets after each room is complete, including the hallway itself. It is located on the bottom right corner of the screen when set to Windowed Mode in the configuration pop-up, preferred resolution is 800x600 for best quality and best placement. Controls are mouse to look around, WASD to move around and left shift to run. I am working on improving the overall speed of the main character.
